Mrs. Dorothy Marie Stenger, 49, of 716 Sycamore Drive, a past president of the Montgomery County Nurses Association and past president of Gamma Xi chapter of Psi Iota sorority, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Stenger, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, was a native of Covington, born April 28, 1923, to William and Iva Hambright. She was a graduate of Covington High School and in 1948 from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing at Indianapolis. She was a nurse at Culver Hospital until last April. Surviving are her husband, Donald, an R. R. Donnelley & Sons employe; two sons, David and Dan, and a daughter, Debi; her mother of Danville, Ill.; five brothers, Bob and. Gene of Danville, Ill., Bill of Miami, Okla., Don of Los Angeles and Ernest Hambright of Paris, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Lenora Busch of Wichita, Kan. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernard Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating and burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Hunt & Son Funeral Home at 4-6 p.m. Sunday and after 8 p.m. Monday. The Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Monday.
